Why These Two Compounds Are Blended
CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin are structurally unrelated. They share no sequence homology, differ in length by a factor of nearly six, and engage entirely different receptors. They are supplied together because that difference is the point — not because they are variations on a theme.
CJC-1295 is a 29-residue sequence derived from the N-terminal fragment of growth hormone-releasing hormone, GRF(1–29), carrying four amino acid substitutions relative to the native fragment. Those substitutions target known enzymatic cleavage sites and sites of chemical instability. It acts at the GHRH receptor.
Ipamorelin is not derived from any natural sequence. It is a fully synthetic pentapeptide built from unusual building blocks: Aib (aminoisobutyric acid, a non-proteinogenic residue), D-2-naphthylalanine and D-phenylalanine — two D-amino acids, the mirror-image stereoisomers of the L-forms found in natural proteins. Its C-terminus is amidated. Every one of those features exists to resist enzymatic degradation, since proteases that recognise natural L-amino acid sequences do not efficiently process D-residues. It acts at the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a), a different receptor entirely from CJC-1295’s target.
Two compounds engaging two separate receptors is a distinct experimental design from two compounds engaging the same receptor, and it is the reason this pairing is supplied pre-combined rather than as a variation on either single compound.
A note on DAC. CJC-1295 exists in two forms: with and without a drug affinity complex, a maleimide group that binds serum albumin and substantially extends circulating half-life. The DAC and non-DAC forms have materially different molecular weights and are frequently conflated by suppliers. Check the Certificate of Analysis on anything you purchase.

Handling & Storage
Lyophilized material is stable at 2–8°C when sealed and shielded from light. For storage beyond several months, -20°C is preferred. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Introduce bacteriostatic water slowly down the inner wall of the vial rather than directly onto the powder. Swirl gently until fully dissolved; do not shake or vortex.
This is a two-component blend with a substantial length disparity — a 29-residue sequence and a 5-residue sequence dissolve at different rates. The short pentapeptide will go into solution well before the longer fragment. Confirm the vial is completely clear before any transfer; apparent dissolution can be misleading here in a way it is not with single-compound vials.
Once in solution, store at 2–8°C and use within 30 days. A 10mg vial reconstituted with 2mL of bacteriostatic water yields 5mg/mL total peptide concentration.
